Don’t hate me for starting my Christmas shopping this week. I have to ship a lot of things out of town, as I am home bound this Christmas. Home bound by choice and due to financial reasons. It just makes more sense for me to stay home and not spend a lot of money on travel expenses, which would be better spent on gifts for my family and close friends.
I have some specific gifts in mind for people, but many of them read my blog, so I won’t go into details. I do plan on buying a nice set of black diamond knives for someone special who loves to cook and always appreciates high quality cookware and kitchen items.
A certain nephew, who will remain nameless, is playing football in high school, so I know that he will appreciate the customizable cleats if I can manage to find out the right size shoes for him. As you know, kids grow fast and I don’t want to buy anything that will be too small too soon.
My in-laws bought a distressed condo at the beach and are in the process of decorating it for a rental unit when they aren’t using it for themselves. I think they will appreciate some of the nice decorator touches, like framed artwork and decorative balls for bowls that can be placed on side tables to make the condo look less sterile and bare.
